BOM 34

The morning after my first date with Norman, my doorbell rang. I was already running late for work but in hopes that it was Norman wanting to carpool or maybe even go to breakfast, I rushed out the door. It was man that looked vaguely familiar but I couldn’t figure out where I knew him from. He smiled at me broadly. “Hello. I’m just on my way out…how can I help you?” I asked the stranger politely. “Don’t you recognize me?” He asked with a snort. I gazed at him and shook my head. “I’m sorry but no.” I apologized. “Where do I know you from?” He raised his eyebrows at me and said, “It’s only been five years. Surely you know your own blood, Char.” As soon as he spoke my childhood nickname, I knew who he was. My mouth opened in shock as he said what I just came to realize…”It’s me, Dorian. Your brother.”
