The doctors were baffled, they’d never seen an anything like the sickness that plagued Dorian and my mother. But I had. With Robert. This time it seemed escalated though…they’d slipped into comas overnight. Also they both had different strains…but sure enough, it was the same exact illness that killed my late husband. And as far as anyone knew, there was no cure for it. All we could do was hope and pray. I didn’t leave the hospital at all during that time. The babysitter even brought Patience by to see them a few times. Then we’d sit and talk to them both, pleading for them to wake up…in hopes that they could hear us from their deep sleep. And on the third day of the third week, Dorian finally woke up. But Mom never did…
