SS 6

After Hannah and Aiden left that night, Sheldon raised his voice at me for the first time since I’d known him. He sat down beside me while I was in bed. “You want to go, don’t you?” I could tell he was struggling with his temper. “Well…yes dear. Don’t you?” He narrowed his eyes and shouted, “Would we really leave all that we have behind? All that I’ve worked so hard for? Is that what would make you happy?” I could feel tears building up in my eyes. “I’m already happy!” I exclaimed. “I don’t care about riches, darling. I only care about you.” I replied grabbing his hand and placing it over my heart. He jerked away and got out of bed. “But Hannah can give you a better life than I can.” He growled. I pulled him back towards me. “Lay down beside me and talk to me.” I put my arms around him after he turned out the lights. “Sweetheart, what has you so upset?” He sighed heavily. “I fear that if I can’t give you what you want, you’ll leave me.” I kissed the back of his neck. “But you’ve already given me so much, darling.” I began. “Not a child.” He cut in. “You have nothing to fear. Til’ death do us part. Do you remember our wedding day?” I asked, running my fingers through his hair. “I do.” He said sleepily before drifting off. “It’s my fondest memory.”
